CTE Data FAQ
Yes.
Assessment Measure Code OOC41, (CTE Technical Assessment—Other) will no longer be collected since CTE Program Fact data will be limited to 鶹Ƶ-approved programs. Assessments that are not part of 鶹Ƶ-approved programs do not need to be reported.
Yes, but-care must be taken to check alignment between the diploma type and what the CTE program service record shows. A student in an approved program with a CTE program service record showing program completion and passing the technical skills assessment is likely (there are exceptions) to have earned the endorsement, but the district has not recorded the diploma type correctly. Conversely, there are times the diploma type showing the CTE endorsement exists when there is no program service record-this must also be investigated.
The 30 exams were the first CTE assessments approved for the 4+1, they are not “nationally certified”. The list of the original 30 was removed because there is no longer a separate approval process for the technical skills assessments in CTE programs.
No. A list of nationally certified CTE exams has not yet been developed. Assessments that are not part of 鶹Ƶ-approved programs do not need to be reported.
All assessments associated with a CTE program approved through the 鶹Ƶ Program Approval process are approved to meet the 4+1 Pathway option in CTE. VisitCTE Policyfor more information on the CTE approval process.
