Early Care and Learning CouncilÌý(·¡°ä³¢°ä) is a statewide, not-for-profit membership organization that represents theÌý35ÌýChild Care Resource & Referral (CCR&Rs) programs across New York State.Ìý

The Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) provides strategic direction and advice to the Governor and State of New York on early childhood issues. By monitoring and guiding the implementation of a range of strategies, the ECAC supports New York in building a comprehensive and sustainable early childhood system that will ensure success for all young children.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. NAEYC also provides publications, including .

QUALITYstarsNY is New York’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for early childhood programs, providing support and resources to improve and sustain high quality across New York State. Early childhood program providers can join QUALITYstarsNY and receive individualized, comprehensive support to improve the quality of their early childhood programs. All types of regulated child care programs are eligible to participate in QUALITYstarsNY at no cost to programs.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ is one of the members of a State Leadership Team created to provide support to the early childhood field on an evidence-based framework – The Pyramid Model Program -Ìý designed to build a child’s social and emotional competence and reduce a child’s challenging behaviors in early childhood educational settings.ÌýChildren need positive relationships, and for over 15 years, The Pyramid Model has worked to support social and emotional development in early childhood classrooms. Through evidence-based research, innovative techniques, and global reach, this model has helped to empower children, birth to 5 years, to succeed in school and life.

The New York State Museum provides opportunities for enrichment, from curriculum guides for exhibits to a gateway to primary source materials held by the State Archives, State Library, and State Museum. Through the collection, you can access photographs, textual materials, artifacts, government documents, manuscripts, and other materials.

The New York State Library is part of theÌýOffice of Cultural Education, within theÌýÂ鶹ÊÓƵ. The Library serves three major constituencies. TheÌýResearch Library, established by law in 1818, collects, preserves and makes available materials that support State government work. The Library's collections, now numbering over 20 million items, may also be used by other researchers on-site, online and via interlibrary loan.
